Word 2003 - all tracked changes show as "Author"

  Batch 09:28 11 Apr 08

Have been using Word 2003 in a client's office and found that documents that had tracked changes (and were previously showing all the individual authors and dates for the changes) switched to having all tracked changes showing as being done by "Author" and with no change date / time.

This only occurred at the point where document was saved. Prior to that, on the screen the individual authors and dates were showing. But at the point of saving all switched to "Author" in the saved version and on the screen at that instant.

Tried on two different PCs with same results.

Is this possibly due to some setting on their systems or is it indicative of some more fundamental issue?

I'm wondering whether this has been caused by a recent (security) update for Word / Office as I'm also seeing documents from other sources that seem to be suffering same / similar issues.

I use Word 2000 and the problem doesn't arise with this.
