have a Toshiba Laptop running on Windows XP home ed. I'd like to install Word 2000 but I keep getting asked for the serial number and although I have the genuine disk from a previous computer I cannot find the number it requires. Is there a way round this? It tells me to look on the sleeve the disk came in but i don't have it - in fact I don't think I ever had it as the previous computer came with it already installed but the disk was supplied with the bundle of other software. I'd be grateful for any help.

Try contacting the company/retailer who sold you the Laptop. Or try this - click here.
