I've been using win 98se up till now, but I've just did a clean install of win xp pro is it possible to get rid of the user name and password screen at windows startup as I'm the only user and I don't use a password.

Start, Run, type in

control userpasswords2

and click OK. Untick Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.

Great thanks, I'm halfway there, just need the last wee bit.

clicking OK get a screen called "automatically log on" and it asks for a user that will be automatically logged on, and in the user name section it uses the name administrater and it askes for a password.

Do I delete the name administrater or and leave the rest blank or what do I do?
