I've recently bought a camcorder and have recorded various footage onto my computer, all in WMV format. I would now like to convert the files to DVD and download them onto a recordable DVD disc so that I can play them on my DVD player.
I've looked at various web sites but they only seem to mention converting DVD to other formats. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Type WMV to DVD in the search forum box, 32 plus threads ;-);-)

The cheapest, quickest and easiest way is to buy a stand alone DVD recorder and connect your camcorder to that.

Windows movie maker has the facility to save in HiMat format to record on CD-R, which "some" DVD players will recognise. Not used it myself.

There are a number of commercial converters wmv to DVD available: try a Google search; for example;

I have not used it; perhaps someone can make a personal recommendation.

WMM no good for creating DVDs, does not support MPEG2 coding. David
