Try using IE instead of Firefox.

I don't have the IE browser, if that ia what you mean.
Tried to install it many times and it fails. Even tried the MS 'problem' solutions, but that's another story. How do I use IE for WMP?

I have found that sometimes MS downloads only work with Internet Explorer and this seems to be the case this time.

Hello.

muddypaws....I would suggest you delete all tracks from both cds and the computer and 'rip' them again.

This will require you to go into the WMP11 'rip' settings and untick the 'protected' box. Unticking the box then allows you to 'rip' the tracks and removes what is usually called 'digital rights management' (or 'drm'). You can then re-rip both cds onto WMP11 and play them without your computer going online to see if you have a licence to play these tracks which is what it does at present.

Hope this will help.

Back to the original query--what do I need to download re 'netscape'. I could give it a try.
Have d/loaded licences before with FF.
Thanks for quick responses.

Sounds good.
Will come back.

Try B L 266's first. With my route you would need Internet Explorer.

Download winamp, saves all the licensing garbage.

You should have IE,its part of Windows

Yes -I have it in All Progs, but when I open the folder and click on the IE browser button it is dead.
I have re d/loaded IE sveral times over the months in the past with the same result so have given up.
Don't want to create a another subject on this thread.

Thanks, but just for 2 CDs out of 30 gigs of music will give winamp s miss. Thanks anyway.

The only slight problem with re-ripping is that I now can't find those CDs!!
Think I will have to live with the problem.
Unless some other miraculous solution appears here
I will have to resolve.
Going to copy them to a usb stick and see what happens. One never knows!
