I am trying to make a complimation cd of my many various cd's I have purchased in the past. I copied the tracks using windows media player and burned them using nero. I had to download plugins for wma files. I can play the cd on my computer but not on any of my audio equipment in the house. When I downloaded some of the songs they said they were protected. I can play them on the computer but that is all. Please can someone help.

No easy way to get around protection as far as I know.

But what you can do is play them an dthen use something like Audacity from audacity.sourceforge.net to record them as they are playing. Then save them as wma / wav / mp3 files.
