Wish to switch/change Drive Names (C:)

  phaeton 14:11 26 Jun 04

Basically I have had Windows XP installed on the H: instead of C: and wish to switch them around as C: is empty. So the H: will be seen as C: and vice versa.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

click here but I'm not sure if this will work with the partition that Windows is installed on.

ok thanks, from that I discovered you cannot change drive letters for System/Boot partitions.

You can change the drive letter assigned to system & boot partitions by editing values in the Registry NOT Recommended but see Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q223188 "How to Change the System/Boot Drive Letter in Windows 2000" It's the same in XP.
