Hi

hope this makes sense what I'm about to write and someone can help me!!!

I'm about to set up a network, which is going to contain a mix of wireless laptops and desktops.
I'm going to have a Domain controller server thing, which is not going to be wireless.

i want the server to handle the DHCP, DNS, AD etc, and in time there will be other servers added to the network (e.g a file server)

my question is what is the best way to set all this up (e.g what additional equipment do i need, and how can i set it up?

I'm assuming a wireless switch, where i can plug the server in, and the wireless bit will pick up the server.

any help will be appreciated

hope this all makes sense

Tony

but I think you're fairly new to networking, and it's going to be a bit of a steep learning curve.

I suggest that you click here and then click here

Take a look at what's there first. Then come back with some specific questions.
