wireless woe

My home wireless connection has suddenly failed on one laptop, while still working fine on a second laptop and a desktop.
The error message I get on the failed laptop is "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network Home Network."
My home network is WPA protected, and the laptop runs XP Pro.
Anyone know what this means, and how I can fix it?

When I view available wireless networks on the failed laptop, my Home Network appears, but says "validating identity" which it never completes.

Cancel that - after two days, it has suddenly started working again. No idea why, as I didn't do anything. Funny things, PCs!
