Wireless on Vista

  Kilty 10:51 18 Feb 09

I am having problems keeping a wireless connection on Vista. It connects for a short time, but then I lose connection. I am unable to browse web pages even when I have a connection, but I can get e-mails.

I have another machine that connects fine, but this is XP.

I have been away and on another wirless network, could this be the cause?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the help.

I did a diagnostic on the problem and Vista came back with "Wireless capabilities turned off", but wireless is definatly on. Is there any obvious reason for this?

Thanks again, and for any help given.

Have you tried a hard wire connection to reset it?

Will give it a go, but not too sure what you mean by reset it?

Thanks for all your help so far and anymore to come.

I meant just go through the routine as though you are setting up a new router
