Internet wise I am with BT. I have a speedtouch 330 modem for the connection. Since February I have had a D-Link DKT-710 wireless router, but have not been able to set it up. The wireless router's main function would be so I could connect to the internet on my iPod touch and when I get my xbox 360 elite I could go on xbox live.
Could anybody reccomend any sites or things that give help? DO I need a router that is not ADSL? If so any recommendations? Or could anybody just clear this up?

“Since February I have had a D-Link DKT-710 wireless router, but have not been able to set it up”

What problems you having to set up the D-link ASDL routers as they are very simple to install and set up

Reset the router to the original factory default settings by using a ballpoint or paperclip to gently push down the reset button in the following sequence:

Press and hold the reset button while the device is powered off.

Turn on the power.

Wait for 5~7 seconds and then release the reset button.

This will wipe out any settings that you stored in flash memory including user account information and LAN IP settings.

The device settings will be restored to the factory default IP address 192.168.1.1 and the subnet

You aren't trying to use the router AND the Speedtouch modem together by any chance ?

You can get rid of the modem - the router has one built in.

I can't download the PDF installion guide off the D-Link website, I think they may have got rid of it.
Response to TonyM: All I want to do is set the router up, but I don't want the router to replace the speedtouch modem.

>>> but I don't want the router to replace the speedtouch modem.

A combined "Router & ADSL Modem" *MUST* replace your existing USB Modem. The Router's WAN connection (Wide Area Network or "Internet) is a modem cable that connects directly to the phone line - there is no other way that you can set it up and you cannot have two ADSL Modems connected simultaneously to the phone system.
