Wireless Router question

Could I use a wireless router as a wireless adaptor?

I have a spare router about and I would like to use it as an adaptor to connect to my exsiting network. Would I need custom software on the router, or could it be configured?

I use two, just plugged one into the other.

One is a Buffalo system while the second is a SpeedTouch.

You'd need to configure them as a wireless bridge , I think ...What make routers are they /

The one I want to connect to is a LinkSys WAG354G the one I want to use to connect with is a La Fonera, which needs to be cracked to get root access.

Although the FON router has been hacked , I'm not sure whether the new firmware has been uploaded anywhere or not , so I would think that it is not possible with the hardware you have at the moment.

It doesn't matter now, A mate gave me a WiFi dongle which he thought was broken, I quick re-bend of the USB and a look for the drivers an hooray! It works! That for your help though :)
