Wireless router keeps dropping signal

I have a Belkin ADSL modem with wireless G-router, and an accompanying Belkin laptop card. A PC is also hard-wired to the router.

All was working fine, until suddenly...

The shared internet connection keeps "pulsing", ie. I have good signal strength and a good internet connection for 2 seconds, then it drops to zero (and no connection) for 2 seconds, and then back again, and so on.

This is matched by the "internet connection" LED on the router blinking, causing the "wireless link/signal" LED to blink as well, at which point the signal drops and the laptop card LED goes out (and we enter the pattern described above).

Over and over.

The blinking internet connection LED does not appear to affect the connectivity of the ethernet-wired PC.

Can anyone please tell me why I have the pulsing connecting?!

Thanks in advance!
