Wireless / Remote HDD for wired desktop ?

Hi all,
Am going back to a quest that I looked into about a year ago.
Basically, I want to put a remote / wireless hdd in my attic (about 8 feet above my computer) to use with my wired desktop.
I was told then that I would need a Wireless Router/Hub first. This I have now got (B.T Home Hub-2 [802.11N]). Currently connected via ethernet.

Am I right in thinking that now I only need a wireless hdd caddy (do I have to stipulate 802.11n ?) & the hdd ? My existing hdd's are pata/ide, I think.

If I'm wrong what is the cheapest way to get wireless/remote hdd for my system please ?

You need a Wireless NAS box, like this

Google for wireless nas drive for more.

Here's one with drive already included, as another instance.

However - wireless storage is likely to be noticeably slower than wired Gigabit Ethernet. So why not look at putting in a fast Ethernet cable.

Thanks DieSse,
The links do show something like what i'm after (I think). Will read up on them.

Ethernet ? The whole idea is for it to be 'remote' & 'cableless', otherwise i'd just have a basic, external one - but thanks anyway.
