I have a Fujitsu Amilo Li310. Pretty poor spec on it, but i have a strange feeling my wireless isnt working.

i have checked and itcomes up it network connections, says its up to date and enabled and it reckons it can scan for wireless networks but doesnt find anything, when i know there are some because i checked with another laptop. however i dont get the light on my laptop and when i press the corresponding button to turn it on nothing happens!

make sure that you updated the driveres for your network adapter. Go to the manufacturer's website to check.
Else contact your network provider. you can also click here for more help

Has this PC recently had an OS reloaded ? You may need the relevant driver installed to make use of the wireless switch , and also have a look at the antenna connectors ( card is probably under a removable cover underneath )to make sure they are properly engaged .

Had a similar problem with an Acer yesterday - after a clean install and all the drivers, no wireless. Turned out Acer use a 'launch manager'. Once downloaded all OK.
