wireless problem

hi hope someone can help. have installed linksys 54gs modem/router. every thing was going great ie linksys on my pc wireless to kids pc. had to restore kids pc to how it came out of shop. now cannot connect to internet on kids pc even though it finds connection and wep is correct even says connected to linksys network but no internet.both pc running xp home sp2.

Try "Disconnecting" from the wireless network, then scan again for "Available Wireless Networks", find and highlight the one that matches your router's SSID (network name) and select the option to "Connect" to it. Once "Connected", the wireless adapter should get its IP address by DHCP from the router and you should have network and internet access.

Check that the wireless PC has got an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range from the Linksys router.

have tried that already. finds proper ssid connects good signal strength but no internet access. wireless pc does not get ip address.

right click wireless network icon and click repair, see if that helps.
