Wireless Problem

Having problems with Windows xP Home and a wireless broadband connection through a Netgear MA101 USB adaptor which connects to a netgear wireless router.

Connection works perfectly for around 5 minutes and then disconnects. However you can instantly connect again by simply clicking the wireless connections icon in the tray in the task bar and clicking connect.

Am using a laptop on this network as well which works perfectly.

This happened to me with my Belkin router - I do not know the netgear router setup, but imagine in the administrative tools/utilities (accessed via web browser (eg 192.168.x.x [often 192.168.2.1]) you will find a time out value which should be changed to something sensible (eg 20 minutes or more depending on your browsing habits).

This solved the problem for me!

Cheers
