Wireless printing

I have bought a Lexmark X4580 wi-fi printer but my computer is not connected to a network (it is connected to Broadband via a wired modem). Do I need to now buy a wireless router or is there another way to simply print wirelessly to this printer without also having a wireless internet connection?
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to go to the expense of a wireless router.
The printer comes with a USB port, you can just wire it directly to your computer. If this is inconvenient you could buy a a USB wireless device for your computer. They can be had for close to a tenner:

Very many thanks, PalaeoBill - I already have it connected via a USB lead but I wanted to use the wireless facility but without going to the expense or bother of getting a wireless router.
Brilliant (and cheap!) - thanks again.
