Wireless Printer & File Sharing 'Ghosts'

  Commander Straker 15:37 02 Mar 05

Have Desktop PC (XP SP2) connected to Broadband Router via Ethernet Cable and Toshiba laptop connecting to router wirelessly. I could share an Epson C70 printer but, having replaced it with an Epson MFD and installed from scratch I now can't print from the laptop (Printer is USB connected to Desktop and Desktop is on). The laptop finds the printer but will not print but created two 'ghost' icons on the Desktop Machine's Printers & Faxes in Control Panel (Auto Epson XXX on Toshiba and Auto MS Image Writer on Toshiba). What is going on ? Test prints appeared in the Image writer queue and continually spooled slowing my pc to a crawl. Incidentally the Shared Folder worked and then stopped being seen after a while.
Thanks for any thoughts team - sorry for long explanation !
