Wanting to go wireless at home, just for my laptop.Presently have 1meg broadband from NTL. Any and all advice please.
What equipment to buy? What specs to look for? What extras i might need?

Tesco's have some cheap Linksys wireless routers that allow you to plug in your NTL cable modem and set up a quick & easy wireless network.

This only works if your cable modem is ethernet, not USB.

Does your laptop have WiFi? If it does then that's all you need, if your laptop isn't WiFi enabled then you will need to buy either a PCMCIA or USB WiFi adaptor.
