wireless not braodcasting, when it is

I have a laptop connected to a wireless network with a BT Home Hub router.
When I look for available connections on the laptop it identifies the BT Home Hub and says it isn't broadcasting. However, I know it is.
When you connect ou are able to access the internet etc., but this Not Broadcasting thing is irritating.

Does anybody know how I can cure it.

Incidentally, it happens when the laptop is right next to the router, as well as all other places.

I think this probably means that it isn't broadcasting the Wi-Fi network name (SSID). If you logon to your router you will find an option in the wireless section to turn SSID broadcasting on or off. This is part of security because if the name isn't broadcast then other people don't see your wireless network.
