wireless networking

help! i have a bt broadband wireless which is connected at my main computer.i have been trying to connect my laptop wireless and it does not seem to recongise my wep key.it finds the hub but does not accept the key and i have checked this and retyped it with caps on and off.it still does not connect wireless.lost and given up!i have a netgear wireless adapter for my laptop and its has been set with the software.i just can't get bt hub to work it.

Press one of the two buttons on the hub before attempting to connect. It will allow pairing for 10 minutes. I can't remember which button, press both.

Are both pc's vista,xp or a mix of both.
