Wireless Network Problem

  Red Herring 21:34 07 Dec 04

I/m sure I'm missing somethign obvious but just can't figure it out. I have a wireless netwrok already installed (Belkin) which also connects to the internet via an NTL network device, and have just tried connect another laptop to it. This new laptop runs on XP and I have a Belkin PCMIA wirless network card. I followed the set up instructions and the new laptop can see the network (green icon shows up)but when I open up IE, it cannot find a connection to the internet.

Also, my main PC (which drives the NTL connection) also has its c drive shared by other machines on the network. How do I enable the new laptop so that it can see this shared drive. I have checked under 'network connections' on the new laptop and fiel and print sharing is ticked, but still nothing!

Any help gratefully received. Thanks
