wireless network problem

I am experiencing problems with a wireless network i've set up. PC 1 is connected to a Belkin 802.11g gateway (F5D7630UK4A) by ethernet cable and seems to be working fine. Pc 2 has a Belkin 802.11g wireless adaptor (F5D7000UK) and appears to see the network and connects on startup of the Pc but cannot access either the router menu or the internet, which can be done on PC 1. I have disabled the onboard network card in Pc 2 in win Xp, as thought that might be causing problems but am unsure of what the problem could be.

The gateway is virtually directly above Pc 2 but I am unable to get a permanent connection.
