Wireless Network PCi Card with RJ45 Socket

Hi,

Not sure if this even exists, but I currently have a wireless network set up in my house, but my main desktop computer just plugs into the back of the router via a normal network lead (as i don't have a wireless network card installed).

I was wondering whether there is a Wireless PCI network card that also has a socket for a network cable to be plugged in?

I'd like to upgrade, but don't want to lose the ability to plug directly into the router, and also don't really want to have two separate network cards installed in my computer as they take space.

Thanks in advance!

Rich

I've never heard of a combined wired/wireless network adapter. If you don't want to have two PCI adapters installed, is a USB adapter not an option for "wireless"?

Do as mgmcc said use a USB wireless adapter

Yeah - I had considered a USB adaptor, but it does seem like a waste of a USB port when it seems like quite a logical thing to have a network card that does both wireless and non-wireless at the same time.

I just wanted to check one doesn't exist before buying something.

Cheers
