Wireless Network Card

Hi, i have recently been sent a new Homehub as the old one was playing up, and as a result have a new wireless network, or at least the name is different so i have changed all my settings on various PCs to connect them. I have no trouble with the wired pc i am using now, or a pc that runs Vista with wireless capabilities pre-installed. However, on my laptop which uses a NETGEAR wireless card, i cannot connect to the internet. It can pick up the signal from the network, but says the IP address is invalid, and no "packets" are being received. I have tried to reset the IP adress, and have also tried a static one, but still with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
