wireless network adapter not working

I have a HP compaq 6537s laptop which was working fine last night, when i turned it on this morning i can't connect wirelessly. diagnosing shows
"this computer doesn't have a wireless network adapter installed and configured"

Any ideas how to fix this?

Go to device manager, click on network or wireless adapter, right click to update driver.

i've already done that, it's only showing marvell yukon 88EO42 PCI-E fast ethernet controller, which is working properly and has right drivers installed, there's no mention of a wireless adapter

Try a scan for mew hardware in device manager and see if the wireless card is detected.

It may have worked loose so you might also try a remove and refit to remake the connections

System restore back to a time when it was working sounds like the easy option to me ?
