Guys I have a Compaq Desktop with NTL Broadband in an upstairs bedroom..I have just bought a new Toshiba Laptop....what is the cheapest way to set up a wireless network so that I can use my laptop to surf whilst downstairs...please advise of any modifications I would have to make to my desktop...my laptop comes with everything for a wireless network installed..

Many Thanks,

Wireless is'nt cheap, but the cheap WIRELESS network you could do, would be to buy a wireless PCI card for your desktop and a wireless PCIMA card for your laptop and do a peer to peer network. Your old computer would have to be on for you to surf the web on your laptop.
