Hiya, ive finally got back into the technical age after a 7 year absence.

could somebody please explain how i can pickup broadband internet on my new wireless enabled laptop...

is it as easy as sitting in a designated area, registering and surfing away or is there a little more to it than that.

many regards and its good to be back

You need a Broadband ISP provider and a wireless router modem. You can use it without the above at a wireless Hotspot like McDonalds are setting up free ones. No idea when.

Think you can get mobile internet from mobile phone companies, no idea of costs or coverage.

£4 a day from T-Mobil. But you still have to buy the modem
