Wireless LAN on Mandrake

  Charence 16:32 22 Jan 05

I've just installed Mandrake 10.1 but I'm having problems installing the wireless network card. I've got an "Aries" 54Mbps WiFi PCI card.

How can I install it?

Many Thanks, Charence

I have no idea, but I wish you good luck. I've tried several versions of Linux and never been able to get them working correctly.

However, the first port of call is probably to the manufacturers website to see if there are any Linux drivers. The one problem is that I don't think that these are quite as straight foward as on a Windows system.

click here for some information that others have had success with. Whether it will work with your card or not, I don't know.

You could also try a search for your specific card and try the very active Mandrake support community, who if they know the answer, will be only to pleased to help.
