Wireless keyboard/mouse problem

  thewasp 20:47 25 Mar 08

I am having trouble attaching a USB wireless keyboard/mouse combo to my notebook. (Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110).

My understanding is that a USB wireless keyboard/mouse combo is a plug and play device, but each time it appears to "plug and play" or work in any way at all it disappears.

Sometimes the mouse works, but immediately I try to establish a wireless connection with the keyboard the mouse stops working.

The problem seems to be with my USB ports.

Is it possible to use my Device Manager to fix the problem? If so how? There are no conflicts or yellow exclamations.

Is there any other way of fixing the problem?

You normally have to install drivers for USB devices first and connect the device(s) when instructed.

Also check whether there is a routine for configuring the channels for the keyboard and mouse.

Mine has to be configured in a certain order - your manual/instructions should list them.

My keyboard also has the sequence embossed on the underside of the keyboard.
