Wireless Keyboard/Mouse problem?

Hi all,

I currently have a wireless keyboard and mouse that has served me well for many years. Only problem now is that the batteries inside the mouse blew up meaning it no longer works! Is it possible to just buy a new Wireless mouse or will I have to buy a whole new mouse/keyboard set aswell? The old set had a pod that connects into the PS/2 which the keyboard and mouse were run from. Will it be just a case of getting a new mouse and resetting the pod.

Thanks

Not sure if this is exactly the same. I had an MS Wireless desktop setup, my daughter spoilt me rotten last birthday and bought me an MS Laser wireless setup. Because I am lazy but impatient I used the new keyboard and mouse with the old transmitter for a couple of weeks until I had time to get round to the back of the PC to swap over. No problems.
