Hi there,

I have broadband linked to my desktop PC, and to that I have connected a Linksys WAP54G wireless access point.

I have a Dell laptop with built in wireless card which I am trying to access the net through.

I can share files between both machines but I cannot get any internet access on the laptop.

I have played around with the TCP/IP settings on both but I'm now pulling my hair out!

Sorry, WinXp on both

then you need to enable "Internet Connection Sharing" on the PC connect to net.

You can find how to do this by searching Windows' build-in help.

have you tried the wireless network set up wizard in control panel?

I have tried this but it just sets up the connection, which is fine - it's the internet acces I'm trying to get.

Is it anything to do with my DNS settings?

check your firewall settings

y firewall is set to allow access for my local network and IP addresses within that range.
