wireless internet

a friend has asked me to do his wireless and i know i can do this becuase i have done it to many other computers in the past
but the problem is not tiwth the conection its with the tcp/ip
the wireless conetcs excelently but when you go on to the intenet u can not get the pages....on the main computer you can get onto the internet but the laptop fails to conect
i think this has something to do with the tcp/ip it is set at obtain automatically but it keeps aquiring network adress for ages
how can i find out how to put this rite??

Check that the DHCP Client is started, on the laptop, in Services. Go to Strat > Run, type in:


and click OK. Scroll down to the 'DHCP Client' entry and make sure it is started.

should the "aquire ip adress auto..." work or do i have to do it manually?
