Wireless encryption limited to either WEP or WPA

I've got a 7 year old Acer Ferrari 3200 laptop.
Running XP service pack 3 and fully updated.

I've recently changed the wireless encryption on my network to WPA2-PSK.

I wanted to set up the laptop to connect to the wireless network. However - using the windows wireless configuration - I am limited to choosing either WEP or WPA. I can't see WPA2 from the drop down list. I wonder if this is a limitation of the on-board wireless adaptor on the laptop, due to it's age, or something else to do with the XP operating system.
I have another Acer laptop - about 6 years old and that can offer me the option of WPA2.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Mucho gracias Fruitbat.

I was under the assumption that particular download would've come with previus Windows updates.
How silly of me to think Microsoft would be that wise to include it.

Many thanks.
