I you rent one of those wireless/hotspot dongles(if thats what they are called) to use with a wireless laptop, does that remove the need to have BB in house?

not always but you have to use the software to set the dongle to your laptop. Once set up it should look for a wireless connection.

3G is what you are on about, Cost is a lot more to use and not as fast as a BT Line BB

Hi Guys

It seems to becoming popular and for the likes of me IF EVER i decided to get one, it would only be the odd time I would use it. If for example I was waiting for an important e-mail and we had to go out in car to visit someone, you could just plug in dongle and if there was a decent signal around, I could send/receive mail.

I suppose then its a matter of cost/contract or not/company varience/different strength signal with different company.

Like all these techo things, I just gather evidence/reports/opinions before buying.
