Desktop PC - Has PCI Ethernet Adaptor
Laptop - WiFi Wireless
Linksys Router..

Router to Modem
Desktop PC to Router via ethernet cable..
Run setup disk.....
The laptop..will that be a case of finding a connection or do i have to set something up?

Also any flaws with the above method??

2. PC to router via ethernet.

3. Set up router using PC

4. Fire up laptop and watch the inbuilt wireless adapter find the router. Click on the connection icon in the system tray and select the router from the displayed available networks - if you live in a town or city there may be more than one. You'll only have to do this once.

With luck, that should be it as far as sharing the broadband connection is concerned.

I'm really sorry for asking this, but when you say linksys router .... it is a linksys WIRELESS router, isn't it?
