Wireless data line drop out

  Dogshome 13:32 17 Oct 06

I have been using a Belkin fsd7630 for two years with no probs but recently the LED indicating data line active keeps going out. A simple repower always puts it back on and it seems to stay on as long as I am connected to the net. The major inconvenience is having to run up and down stairs to switch the router off and on. Scoured Belkins web site and found no clues. Any advice on where to start looking for a cause and remedy would be helped.

Have you tried "hard resetting" it back to factory default settings and setting it up again from scratch?

will do that as a last resort ta.

You can access the router from any node on your network using the web based interface, log on then you can soft reboot/restart the router from there should no need to run up and down stairs

Thanks Tosh that makes life a lot simpler and don't really need to bother with why now. Shame I didn't spot that previously..
