Wireless connection problems

I have a PC that links to the internet via a wireless usb adaptor to a Linkbox broadband system.Orange is the ISP. Other PCs in the house work fine.
I had successfully used the Connection wizard that set up an automatic link using MSN, but decided to change this as I wanted to have Orange as the home page. In the connection settings I clicked on the restore default settings in the advanced tab. Now when I try to access the internet I get the message "Server can not be found."
I have tried reloading the setup disc from orange, but get the message that there is a corrupted file in settings. I have typed in IP addresses used on other PCs, and left as "find automatic" Is there somewhere where I can remove the MSN link, or is the problem with the firewall settings? I would be grateful for any advice.

Probably the best thing to do, if possible, is to try using restore on your pc {I'm assuming you're using xp} to reset the system to a date before you made the changes.
