Wireless connection problem with Vista

Got am ongoing problem connecting to the internet with my Dell Inspiron 1521. Using Vista and it is very temperamental when connecting to wireless networks, particularly the newer, black home hubs.

Will sometimes get a local connection but then have to go through windows network diagnostics and reset the network adaptor and tell it to "automatically get IP settings" a couple of times before it resolves the problem. Sometimes it won't resolve it all.

Any ideas?

Thanks very much,

Have you updated the wireless card's drivers ? also , which firewall are you using ?

Yeah all is up-to-date and using AVG Free plus usual Windows Firewall.

Try changing the hubs channel that it transmits on.
You will have to access the advanced settings on it to do that... try a higher number channel, then set up your network again (find the hub) for as soon as you alter the channel you will lose connection.
