Wireless Connection Problem

I bought a Toshiba Laptop some months ago with an built wireless board. I took it back to PC World and they advise me for some reason the unit inside the machine keeps on renewing the IP address. I sent it back to Toshiba who replaced the wireless board but it still keeps on doing the same thing. This causes a brakdown of connectivity when online. Can anybody advise why this would want to keep on renewing the IP address and more importantly what can I do to stop it (if anything) - Is it something in the computers settings which is causing it to do this? Please advise - Many thanks
