Wireless connection to AOL via Netgear DG834G

My PC is connected via ethernet cable to the Netgear router.I want to connect my sons PC by wireless USB adaptor.
I have installed the wireless adaptor and it is working fine but the router is just ignoring it.
I have an IP Address for the wireless adaptor.
How do I get the two to talk to eachother???
Both systems are XP.
Any help would be great

Could you do this on both PCs and paste the results into here:

right click in windows - select all
Press the enter key (acts as copy)
Then paste into here

Same with the other PC

You might have to paste results into a notepad file and save to floppy,cd,usb drive if one of the PCs can't get on the internet.

All I needed was the WEP key.
A bit of a pain to find but once I had it was plain sailing.
