Wireless Card

Hi Does a Wireless card replace a Gigabyte Lan Port standard on most Pc's and what is its purpose when connecting a Wireless Router to a Pc?

Any help would be very appreciated as I have no ideas as to its benefits and have been offered this on a new Pc. I run Vista Premium Home Edition

Kind regards

THe inbuilt Lan it so you can connect to the Router Modem with Ethernet Cable. The Wireless Card is so you can work without being connected with a cable
