wireless base station SNA6500

I have been using my Philips wireless base station SNA6500 to get on line with aol, however, I have just changed to virgin media and am unable to connect to the internet via the wireless router. I have a solid green 'on-line' light on the router and the LAN network connection is saying that I'm connected, I have released the old DHCP IP settings and renewed them with those of the ADSL. Can anyone help?

If the Virgin Media that you have changed to is cable then it is the wrong type of router.

Thanks for your reply, it's virgin media broadband. virgin have said there should be no problems using it.
