Basically Yes. You'll need to set up the wireless router with your Virgin details and set some wireless security so that no one else can use your connection without your permission, but you'll find all that info on the Virgin website.

If the laptop isn't already ready, most new laptops are, then yes you could use a wireless laptop card. Some info on connecting to Virgin. click here

If the laptop isn't already *WIRELESS* ready......

  lisaken 11:48 19 Mar 08

yeh my laptop is wireless

  MAJ 11:50 19 Mar 08

Then why do you want to add a wireless card?

  lisaken 11:51 19 Mar 08

ok thanks got it now thanks for ur help

No worries, lisaken. As your laptop is already wireless ready, you don't need a separate wireless card or dongle.

Make sure that when you go to buy your wireless router that it is designed to be used with Cable Broadband rather than the ordinary ADSL through a BT line, if your connection with Virgin is through cable.
