Wired Network speeds.

I have got a network currently setup over a 35m distance with 2 sites.

Site A has 2 pc's connected to a netgear 10/100 switch. Site B has 2 pc's connected to a netgear 10/100 switch. With 35m of Cat5E between the 2 switches.

For some reason i can only get the network to work if i force all pc NIC's to run at 10Mb. If i set them to 100mb or auto detect windows informs me that a network cable is unplugged.....

Any ideas how i can get this network to run at 100Mb.

You will not do it, unless you use a standalone server and network hub... not cheap...

Surely there is another way of doing it, i know that if i reduce the cable length between the 2 switches i can achieve 100mb so why not over a longer distance??
