does anyone know how to completely wipe internet explorer off my pc?

It can be done in XP but you would need to use nLite - click here
to create a new installation disk from your original CD and, as nLite is not quite out of Beta yet, you might not be successful.

You will lose a certain amount of functionality if you do it and you may not be willing to do that. More information can be found in the nLite section at - click here

I've removed IE from my other computer, without ill effect, but I would advise anyone who is thinking of doing it to think hard before attempting it.

I should, also, have said, once it's been removed it can only be replaced with a re-install of the OS... unless you wish to spend the better part of two days manually replacing files and re-registering Dlls. I found it to be so anyway.

Why would anyone want to remove IE in the first place? I don't use IE (well rarely anyway) but having it does me no harm. G
