Hi all, this is probbo so trivial to most but im in the dark over it.

I have an e-mail (from a legit source) but i need winzip to open the attachment properly.

I dont have winzip on my PC, can i download it from somewhere???

Also when i get it how to i "winzip" the attachment??

thanks for the link. It only takes me to a 21 day trial downlaod before i need i license fee.

is this tool only avail in a trial version??

If you are running WinXP, you should be able to open it. If you are not, you have to use 3rd party software.
There are quite a number of freeware out there. Google or check this forum Download section in Utilities/Compression.

the file was zipped then sent as an attachment. The e-mail author has specifically told me i need winzip to open the attachment.

will winXP auto unzip it then???

The main problem i found with the xp zip utility is it doesn't actually unzip it just shows you the files in the zip,witch is pretty annoying if you need to unzip and install,unless its me not using it right,anyway i swapped to win-zip.
