Hi all
Xp home, the last couple of days the pc has started playing up,when i close an application and then return to the desktop "clicking" on any icon does nothing, then after about 30 seconds all the icons and taskbar dissapear then re-appear and the pc works fine.

When i look in event viewer under application it reports source winloggon

"the shell stopped unexpectedly and exporer exe was restarted."

Can anyone please help,as yet i haven't installed sp2.

Thanks Phil

Hi Phil. Searching via Google for this problem, it appears to be a known Windows bug. The first reference I found that led anywhere was here click here. This led to a Microsoft article here click here, and a Microsoft patch here click here.
