Hi

I use aol for internet connection and every now and again for no apparent reason i get a message that says waol, and knocks me offline.
I have found a folder entitled waol under the heading win.ini on the configuration screen.
when i expand this folder i find the following:
AppPath=c:\PROGRAM FILES\AOL 8.0
InstallDrive=Q
SharedPath=c:\Program Files\Common Files\AOLSHARE

If i uncheck these boxes is it likely to help with my problem of getting knocked offline and will it have any other effects?

Thanks for your help

John
